Serving Adults

Samantha has helped countless adults work through domestic violence, sexual abuse as a child, sexual assault, and other kinds of trauma and loss.

Samantha also specializes in working with adults struggling with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and several other issues.

In addition, Samantha has a talent in helping adults understand how to better parent their children.

Samantha has experience with clients from various cultures and religious backgrounds. She has worked with numerous military families as well, and understands their unique strengths, needs, and struggles.

Serving Tweens, Teens, & Families

Samantha has spent several years working with youth in individual, group, and family therapy settings. Since the family is a primary system for each youth, engaging the family is critical for youth success. She loves to do both individual and family therapy with tweens and teens.

Samantha also loves group therapy, especially with adolescent girls. She is facilitating a teen girls group based on dialectical behavior therapy. This group is conducted on Mondays after school hours. All girls are screened by Samantha prior to participation in the group.

Serving Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Youth and Adults

Samantha has worked with several youth and adults, including parents, who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered. Samantha is always very supportive of these clients, while still empathetic toward struggling family members. Samantha is always very clear that her office is a safe space for all of her clients, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. As a therapist utilizing a strength-based, feminist therapy orientation, we will work together so that you or your child are empowered.

If you are a member of the LGBT community, you never have to hide your sexual orientation or gender identity, whether or not this is the issue that brought you in to see Samantha.
