Heart and Head Healing accepts a range of insurance plans, including BCBS of TX, CHIP, Medicaid, Health Select, Superior Medicaid & CHIP, Ambetter, Magellan, Cigna, Traditional Medicaid, Medicare, and Tricare.

Yes. The private pay fee is $180/session. However, a sliding scale is available. It ranges from $65-$120/session. Clients should indicate if they’re interested in discussing a sliding scale for services at the time of booking. Please contact the office directly at 512-548-7442 for verification.​

Sessions are conducted securely online via a confidential telehealth platform. Clients can schedule sessions at convenient times and participate from any location in Texas, ensuring privacy, flexibility, and high quality of care.​

Yes. Samantha, the lead therapist, is approved by the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners (TSBSWE) to provide clinical supervision to Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSWs) who are working toward independent clinical licensure.​

Samantha comes from a feminist relational orientation. She also uses cognitive behavioral and manualized treatment models as appropriate. She believes in using humor in session and is a gently direct therapist.

No. Samantha knows that faith is often a huge strength for many people and she has gone out of her way to educate herself on various denominations of Christianity, as well as Islam. Samantha is Jewish and knowledgeable about various Jewish movements. She supports her clients’ practices and faiths, even if she does not share them. She does not, however, pray with clients or do Bible study with them.
